Each week the buses and trains of the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) make over 150,000 trips. We thought it would be fun to visualize all these trips in an “animated map application”. The MTA animated map application shows the scheduled location of every bus and subway train at any time during the week over a map.
