DB4IoT/RouteAnalyst can store and replay years of breadcrumb data
Images
DB4IoT/RouteAnalyst has the capacity to store years of breadcrumb data and combine this in a single database that can be visualized over maps instantly and played back as animations. DB4IoT’s transportation route planning software helps transit agencies perform route analysis to identify bottlenecks and ways to improve them.
Bus Speed Map – Internet of Moving Things
Images
With DB4IoT/RouteAnalyst transit agencies can look at each individual route over time and maps simultaneously to analyze how driving speeds, travel delays, passenger loads and headway change. This helps transit agencies identify bottlenecks and ways to improve them. DB4IoT/RouteAnalyst is a very powerful tool when discussing traffic improvements with cities, counties or funding agencies.

This video shows the movement of every Portland Trimet bus, rail and tram for a 24-hour period starting at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 through 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016. At 4:00 a.m. there are a few bus routes running. You can see how the number of buses starts to grow quickly around 6:00 a.m. and is reduced at 10:00 a.m. There is an increase again during the afternoon peak. In the evening the number of buses running is slowly decreased until around 3:00 a.m. when […]

Transit agencies and fleet managers are turning to IoT technologies to connect their vehicles with operations systems to track vehicle and driver performance, monitor fuel efficiency, deliver electronic ticketing and fare systems and increase efficiencies in real-time route and schedule management. These are dependent on cellular networks to deliver reliable coverage, connectivity and signal strength. DB4IoT provides interactive tools to analyze cellular performance. Watch the video to see how we do it.
A Week in the Life of MTA

Each week the buses and trains of the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) make over 150,000 trips. We thought it would be fun to visualize all these trips in an “animated map application”. The MTA animated map application shows the scheduled location of every bus and subway train at any time during the week over a map.
